Most of my inspiration comes from our wonderful local marine environment, giving me unlimited subject matter. Occasionally, for a little variety, I enjoy painting flowers.
I’m a dedicated and passionate part-time artist who has been living, working and painting in Manly, Wynnum and Lota since moving to bayside Brisbane in 2009.
I had previously lived on the Gold Coast for two years, and Sunshine Coast for 25 years after leaving my home town of Melbourne in the early 80’s.
Along the way I have been lucky to meet some terrific local artists, mainly through my involvement with the PCYC Art Shows and Wynnum Manly Arts Council, and have been delighted to receive three “People’s Choice Awards”, including the inaugural WMYC Art Show in 2016.
I have also had the privilege of being accepted three times to do art residencies at the Margaret Olley Art Centre / Tweed Regional Gallery as a plein air artist, giving me time to focus totally on my art practice in an amazing and very different environment.
