Artist Statement

From an early age I have always been a creative soul, whether it’s dress making, quilting, knitting, crocheting, or painting.  In time, my creative pastimes have improved, making me a lifelong learner of the arts and fulfilling my dream of becoming a Visual Arts teacher for over 30 years. Since moving to Australia, I went back to college to train as an Art Therapist and Reiki Master which has allowed me to help others enjoy the process of creating something meaningful whilst on their own healing journeys.

As an artist, I am drawn to the beauty and innocence of the world around us and my work reflects my appreciation of the sea and nature, reminding me of my past childhood memories and loved ones; a place where I feel at peace.

My artistic practice is a celebration of life – a love letter to the sea, to nature, and to the creative spirit that resides within us all. Each piece I create is a testament to the healing power of art, a reminder that we are all part of something greater. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to explore their own journeys, to find solace in the beauty of the world, and to embrace that transformative power of creativity.
