I cannot remember a time when I was not being creative. The path to being an artist began as a child when I won an art competition run by the Melbourne “Age”. After working overseas for several years I returned to Melbourne, married and moved to Brisbane and raised my family. It was then when I started my foray into the fashion market with quirky t-shirts. The uniquely Australian designs sold extremely well on the Gold Coast and overseas in Seattle, America, then came designing for a dress manufacturer and later running my own small business designing and manufacturing resort wear that sold at Riverside Markets for a number of years. Later I worked for a company selling Daler,Rowney art materials as their Sales Representative and demonstrator. I am a multi media artist. I work with most mediums and do not restrict myself to specialising in just one. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects and like to be free to explore any new idea. Sometimes that means perhaps one painting on a certain subject or series of paintings. At the moment I’m enjoying the freedom to let the painting itself dictate what will happen, the painting takes on a life of its own, it is an exciting way to paint. Art for me is all about exploring and constantly evolving. I have been a member of The Old School House Gallery for 15 years
