Tina Horton is a Redlands coast artist who specialises in jewellery and gemstones. Tina describes her style as naturally organic and draws her inspiration from nature.
Having always been a creative soul Tina has tried many forms of artistic expression, from painting to scrapbooking. In 2007 Tina decided to pursue her fascinating with rocks, games and crystals, joining her local lapidary society. It is here that she learnt how to cut and polish stones but also the basics of silversmithing. Since 2007 Tina has won many competitions both locally and throughout Queensland for both her lapidary and jewellery work.
Tina’s passion for nature and the environment drove her to explore organic casting methods, thus ensuring every piece of precious metal that enters her studio is used within her work. Tina follows the studio philosophy “nothing goes to waste, just think creatively”.
All of Tina’s work contains sustainable and ethically sourced materials, including both metal and gemstone.
